Mario Iezzoni is from Summit Hill, Pennsylvania. A geographer and avid whitewater kayaker in his younger years, he spent much of his earlier career in the outdoors. After receiving an MBA from Wilkes-University (1990) and becoming a Certified Public Accountant, he opened a tax practice in tandem with his own whitewater rafting company in White Haven, Pennsylvania. After raising three children, he moved to New Port Richey, Florida, and is a teacher and small business advisor at the University of South Florida. Mario published The Postulant (2007) and Kracker Flats (2013). He is currently working on two more novels.
