Bogdan Vernescu

Bogdan Vernescu is Professor in the Mathematical Sciences Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, Massachusetts. His research expertise is in the areas of partial differential equations, calculus of variations and homogenization, with applications in fluid mechanics, porous media and composite materials. Vernescu has held visiting positions at MIT and in France at the University of Metz, University of Nancy, University of Savoie and University of Rouen. He is an honorary member of the Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy.
