Phyllis Neff Lake

A short time ago I discovered a certificate from high school for excellent creative writing. I do not remember receiving it or why it was awarded to me, but it proves to myself that I have been writing for a long time. In the 1960s, I completed the Famous Writer’s Course and published a few magazine articles. In the 1970s, I collected, wrote, and delivered the local TV news of western Montgomery County, New York, until the station went broke. Then I became a stringer for The Gloversville Leader Herald for the geographic area.

I have continued to write both fiction and non-fiction. My credits include articles for Highlights for Children, Appleseeds, Family Digest, Catholic Digest, The Church Herald and a romance novel, To Be Three. My Cup of Tea is my second romance novel, which is now on Kindle.

I am currently working on a children’s novel titled, A Long, Long Summer, and working on a memoir. Both are about growing up on a dairy farm in upstate New York.

My husband and I now live in a rural upstate village after living in several New York communities, Warsaw in Poland, and Ahuas in Honduras. We have two adult children and two young grandsons, whom we love to visit in the Hudson Valley.
