Margaret has been writing for years. In 1999 some of her writings became known as “Monkeyminders: Loving Thoughts to Still the Monkey in Your Mind.” Messages printed on little cards, Monkeyminders have found their way into the hands and hearts of friends and strangers, often very serendipitously.

In the fall of 2007, Margaret started what she now calls Intuitive Painting. Many of these paintings have words in them and most of them have Monkeyminder messages associated with them.

In the summer of 2008 Margaret was voted Savannah Magazine’s “2008 Best Emerging Local Artist.” Since then, her images and words have been sold as prints, greeting cards, bookmarks, journals, t-shirts, silk scarves and books. Her work, often described as full of color, energy, and inspiration, has jumped to a new level of brightness and energy through her hand painted scarves and prayer flags. Many of these pieces are on display for sale in Gallery 11 at City Market in Savannah.

It is Time, her hard back book of healing words and colorful illustrations, is a great little gift for anyone who is celebrating or who needs encouragement. The Book of Monkeyminders is a daily inspirational reader full of loving thoughts, many of which had never before been made public. It is now available as paperback and in Kindle version on www.amazon.com . The most recent Kindle version includes a number of Margaret’s illustrations along with new monkeyminders not in the paperback edition.

Apparel with Margaret’s most recent “Pink Ribbon Dancer” design is available in Long and short-sleeved t shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and tote bags. Part of the proceeds is being donated to Young Survivors Coalition supporting young women surviving breast cancer.

As life and academic coach, writer and artist, Margaret’s passion is to encourage and inspire others to inhabit the fullness of their own lives with joy and deep satisfaction.
