Gary L. Malone M.D.

Dr. Malone earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and earned his Medical Degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Dr. Malone completed his residency training in psychiatry at Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital where he served as Chief Resident his fourth year and is a Graduate psychoanalyst from the Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute.

He is also certified by the American Psychoanalytic Association. Dr. Malone is an Associate Clinical Professor at UT Southwestern and a Teaching Analyst at Dallas Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Malone is Director of Adult Chemical Dependency services at Millwood Hospital in Arlington,Texas

Dr. Malone is a Distinguished Fellow in the APA and a member in the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Malone is a multi-published author in the field of inpatient psychiatry, psychodynamic treatments, and neurophysiology. He has been a media consultant to numerous television and radio shows. Dr. Malone is a regular expert in Cosmopolitan and he has been quoted in Newsweek, August 2006. Dr. Malone has an office location in Grapevine, Texas.

His specialties include effective treatments of psychiatric patients through medications and psychotherapy.
