Stephanie McCall

I am a Christian writer and the new kid on the block who is so thrilled to finally be in the ranks of the published! I'm a 26-year-old English teacher, voracious bookworm, and tireless writer. I've been writing something since I was 6.

I'm currently in the middle of my second Master's and getting ready for a teaching internship. When I'm not teaching, I curl up with a good book or watch one of my favorite shows, which include Touched by an Angel, Monk, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I'm involved in my church's prison ministry and fledgling drama team, and take every Bible study offered, particularly those from Beth Moore.

I'm very proud of my Scots-Irish roots and love anything to do with the culture (my wardrobe contains lots of argyle and plaid). I love cats and want to adopt one soon. Like almost any woman, my comfort food is chocolate, but Italian and Chinese cooking also make my taste buds very happy!

I have a mild form of cerebral palsy and spend some of my time advocating for disability rights through my blog. Some of my real-life heroines with disabilities include Sue Thomas, Temple Grandin, Carly Fleischmann, Amy Carmichael, and Fanny Crosby.

Finally, a big thank-you to the authors who helped get me here. Please take time to read their books: June Foster, Julie Arduini, Joanne Hillman, Laura Hilton, Cathy Dangerfield, Susan May Warren, Julie Lessman, Julie Klassen, Rachel Hauck, Patti Lacy, Kaye Dacus, Jill Eileen Smith, and Ginny Yttrup.
