Shannon Bond

Shannon Bond is a writer and visual artist living in middle America who believes that "the stories we carry create us." He retired from the U.S. Air National Guard as a photojournalist in 2016 and works in publishing. Through the years he has held many jobs, observing the humans around him through the lens of a waiter, amusement park ride operator, security guard, security policeman, corrections officer, photojournalist, I.T. network operations specialist, media analyst, and most recently, as an executive editor in a publishing branch for a statistical agency.

He enjoys reading stories full of flawed characters in tough predicaments. It does not matter if these stories are fiction or non-fiction as long as they are full of truth. He earned his undergraduate degree in technical management in 2012 and an MFA in Writing from Lindenwood University in 2019. He has written for the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, and The Regular Joe newspaper. He has finished two novels and a short story collection.
