Dennis Jeffery

In Shashamena, Ethiopia, while observing suffering in extreme poverty juxtaposed with resiliency of human spirit exhibited in authentic joy, Dennis Jeffery had an epiphany about the importance of hope. Coupled with years of diverse experience from ride alongs with LAPD, visiting patients in oncology wards, coaching athletes, international travel, and developing relationship with literally thousands of people, Dennis has walked a path toward internalizing hope and seeking deeper understanding of how it actually works in real life. His own struggle with hopelessness sealed the deal to commit to being a hope contagion. Out of this came "Buoyancy - Hope in a Storm Filled World".

Dennis is Superintendent of The River Conference (theriverconference.org) and a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and Fuller Theological Seminary. He lives in Colorado with his wife and three children. He blogs on dennisjeffery.com.
