Katherine Weikert Stelmach

Katherine Weikert Stelmach holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in teaching. After teaching high school English for 12 years, Katherine decided to pursue other interests as well as parent her two little girls. She currently teaches online college courses and develops courses in Humanities for Rio Salado College in Tempe. Katherine earned a teaching endorsement certificate in Reading, and it is this experience that allowed her to better understand the struggles of young readers and the methods used to increase proficiency. It is this interest in the techniques and tools used to aid struggling readers that led to the creation of "Who's in That Shell?". She resides in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband, two daughters, an orange tabby cat, and three hermit crabs (Racecar, Princess, and Cloud).
