CJ Sun

C.J. Sun is a Taiwan-born American who immigrated to the US at a very young age. Breaking through the cultural norms of becoming a doctor, lawyer, or business person, Mr. Sun became the first Taiwanese American firefighter, and now, fire chief in a predominately Asian community. He has been recognized for his efforts as a fire service leader, representing the Asian American Pacific Islander community. His passion of writing and drawing is now translated into a series of coloring books, "When I Grow Up: Heroes at Work.” His hope is to inspire and expose young children to different careers, both traditional and non-traditional.
