Robin Montesano

Robin Montesano was born in 1959 in East Boston, MA, the site of an MS cluster. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1992, at the age of 33. Robin was in despair about the impact not only on her life, but that of her two elementary aged children. Her exacerbations were frequent and by 1995, she was wheelchair-bound. In 1997 she began prerequisites for a degree in Human Nutrition, and modifying her diet, she walked again by 1998. Robin received a master’s degree in 2003, writing a thesis on the relation between childhood nutrition and the risk of MS as an adult. As a result of her thesis, she self-published on the most likely cause of the cluster of MS in Clues to the Cause (2012), Robin Montesano has most recently published a paper in 2017 on possible genetic associations to MS. Robin has always been curious, a lover of books, and since 2004 a passion for sailing, and the healing it provides. Robin continues to passionately advocate for the power Nutrition has to both present and prevent MS. Her work now is a manuscript on the power of Love to cause, contain and possibly cure MS.
