Darin Michael Shaw

Darin Michael Shaw, MDiv, MA, has spent over thirty years walking alongside people at the intersection of faith and life’s hardest struggles. As a writer and researcher, he focuses on the quiet space where spiritual truths meet the real-world science of mental health and addiction recovery.

 

Drawing from twenty-one years in pastoral ministry, Darin knows firsthand what it is like to try to be the "strong one" while wrestling with his own internal battles. That season of brokenness eventually led him to a more authentic, grace-filled rediscovery of his identity—one defined not by performance, but by the simple truth of being a beloved child of God. Today, he helps translate complex therapeutic concepts into the language of the heart.

 

Darin and his wife, Shari, live in Merritt Island, Florida. They find their greatest joy in their children and grandchildren—living evidence of the beauty that follows the struggle.
