Marshall L. Davis is the third child of the late Gertrude Ophelia Davis-Green and Malvin W. Davis, the first-born son of her holiness, Supreme Mother Mildred. Mother Mildred, who was the founder of the Spiritual Guidance Temple of Truth (S.G.T.), said that Marshall was one that truly understood her, that she would work with him, and that he walked in the spirit. At his birth several members of the S.G.T. were present in the room with his mother, his father (who was present and assisted his young wife Gertrude with the delivery of all of their four children), the mid-wife and Supreme Mother Mildred. Moments before Gertrude was to deliver the child one of the members, Ruby Certain, acclaimed “mother it is a boy! I can hear him singing ‘Just to Behold His Face.’” The delivery room, which was in the home of Mary Pratt, a member in the Overtown area of Miami, was transformed into a hall of song and praise. As Marshall’s soul was ushered into the world, his mother, Gertrude, joined in the singing during the delivering.

Marshall was an avid student of truth at a very early age. He served faithfully on the altar staff of the Spiritual Guidance Temple. He was initiated by her holiness Supreme Mother Mildred to sit and serve in the sanctuary of the Temple. Shortly thereafter, at the age of 15, he experienced a divine connection that initiated him on the road to spiritual transformation. Throughout his spiritual journey he received several spiritual initiations. He informed her holiness Supreme Mother Mildred about them. Her response to him was to tell no one and that these were the kinds of initiations she expected of her crown students. Marshall was the first and only one of Supreme Mother Mildred grandchildren who completed her course that led to Mastership. He was the first and only grand to teach a class that completed the grade that led to adeptship. He has since graduated a class to the degree of mastership.

Mother said that he is a born teacher and would take his students to crownship, the highest grade in her spiritual curriculum. Her last written message spoke of him having to do the appointed spiritual work for which he has been born as well as work in the arts. Currently he is serving as an arts administrator as well as the presiding officer and founder of Divine Life Temple of Majestic Truth. His Holiness Chief Master, Marshall L. Davis, as Supreme Father of Divine Life Temple of Majestic tTruth, continues in the spiritual teaching traditions as well as in the methods and practices of her holiness Supreme Mother Mildred. These teachings and practices deal with the whole being and enable one to cultivate the mind and unfold the soul. His holiness was installed as the Supreme Father of the Spiritual Guidance Temple of Truth on the birth date of Supreme Mother Mildred on November 21, 2010. On May 13 2011, the second Friday of the month, he was inaugurated by the La region King of the Accara tradition as a Nii [Chief].
