David W Anderson has been involved in special education/disability studies for over 40 years, including teaching in regular and special education settings, psychoeducational assessment, serving as a resource consultant to schools, and training teachers in special education. He has authored several articles on special education and has presented at professional meetings internationally. He is now Emeritus Professor of Education at Bethel University, where he served as Professor and Director of Graduate Programs in Special Education. He is president of Crossing Bridges, Inc., an educational ministry oriented toward increasing awareness of disability issues in churches and schools around the world and working with indigenous ministries that serve individuals and families affected by disability. David has been married for for 48 years. he and his wife have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren. Originally from Philadelphia, he and his wife now reside in Woodinville, WA.
