Phil Pasquini

The author of Domes, Arches and Minarets, Phil Pasquini is a California native who is a staff photojournalist at the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, as well as contributor to other international publications. He has also worked as a radio correspondent, reporting from Europe, the Middle East and the U.S.

Through his profession he has traveled extensively for over four decades in North America, Europe, Scandinavia, North Africa, the Middle East and South America.

Realizing that the history and influence of Islamic-inspired buildings on American architecture was virtually an unknown subject, he determined to undertake the book project to bring light to this fascinating and influential style so much a part of the American cityscape.

Domes, Arches and Minarets is his second book. He lives with his wife, Elaine, also a photojournalist in California.
