Eugene G. Schulz

Eugene G. Schulz was born on a farm in Clintonville, Wisconsin in 1923. He was inducted into the U.S. Army at the age of 19 in 1943. He served with the XX Corps attached to General Patton's Third Army, and his unit spearheaded the drive across France, Germany, and into Austria where they met the Russian Army.

After the war ended, Schulz got his education at the University of Wisconsin--Madison, where he earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration. Schulz met his wife, Eleanore, at the University, and later worked as an investment reseach officer at the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee for 36 years. The Schulzes are retired and live in Milwaukee.
