Jacob C. Warren

Jacob C. Warren, PhD, MBA, CRA, is a native of Georgia. He earned Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Biology and an MBA from Georgia Southern University, as well as a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Rufus Harris Endowed Chair in Rural Health and Health Disparities, and the Director of the Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities in Mercer University's School of Medicine. Dr. Warren is a behavioral epidemiologist and health equity researcher and advocate, studying the cause, impact, spread, and elimination of health disparities with a particular focus on maternal and infant mortality, opioid overdose prevention, and chronic disease self-management. He has received more than $13 million in federal grants to support his research and outreach, including funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration.
