William D. Webb, Jr. is first and foremost a husband to the most wonderful woman on the planet and a father to two kids who despite his fatherly advice, grew up just fine. Born the son of a car man in an era where cars ruled and gas was under a buck a gallon, he spent his youth in the chilly Midwestern suburbs: safe and uninspired.
His blend of humor and reality earned him space in newspapers gaining a local following with a whimsical style. He earned that style as a government auditor, staring at little bitty black numbers on large white pieces of paper, which somehow related to an important regulation, yet all the while dreaming of dragons and doughnuts. Numbers, dragons, doughnuts, and the government made for strange comrades.
For the better part of the last fifteen years, William has been writing for local papers and even published a few pieces in Kiplnger's Personal Finance magazine. He's written over 700 articles printed in various publications from Southern California to the South suburbs of Chicago. He now writes a weekly article for the Frankfort Station.
