Connie A Walker

Connie A. Walker was born in Blackfoot, ID, attended elementary school in Kansas City, KS, and graduated high school in Fairbanks, AK. She has been an insatiable reader and a compulsive writer since childhood.

She is the author of the prize-winning plays The Light Still Burns and Nearly a Woman, as well as the prize-winning children’s book Timmy and the K’nick K’nocker Ring.

Ms. Walker has a B.A. in theatre/playwriting from Brigham Young University, plus a B.S. in psychology and an MSW from the University of Utah. She has worked as a graphic artist, a technical writer, a foster care worker, a clinical social worker, and a mental health programs manager.

Now retired, she prefers to spend her days tapping away on her computer. When not writing, she enjoys painting with watercolors, quilting, and watching classic black-and-white science fiction movies.
