Steven Froelich was born and brought up in Elgin, outside of Chicago. In his teens he fled to Los Angeles and then New York. He has lived in London for more than twenty years. Steven is an actor/playwright. His first play, They Offered Bob and Wilma Cash, had Sylvia Miles in the lead with Steven playing opposite as her son. His second play, Weekend In Rio, was work shopped at the Steppenwolf Studio in Chicago with Laurie Metcalfe in the lead followed by public performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received two Best Actress nominations. His third play, It Woulda Been Nice, was performed by Steven at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at exactly the same time as Weekend In Rio.
Steven has authored a misadventure series published by Extraordinary Books where Guatemala and Belize were published 2025/26, Colombia and Nicaragua to be published in 2026/27, Havana and Acapulco 2027/28 and Elgin and Los Angeles 2028/9
