Edward Kurtz

Edward Alan Kurtz was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He lived in Washington, DC, Ohio, Tokyo, California and Hawaii before moving to Thailand where he has lived for the past seven years.

In addition to volunteering at the Pattaya Children's Orphanage, he enjoys writing fiction and non-fiction for children. In his stories for children, he creates unique characters living in exotic and interesting places around the world, and he weaves subtle positive lessons into the plots.

He has completed his first two series of eBooks for children: 25 eBooks entitled "The World of Make-Believe Stories" (for example: "Australia: Andy and the Baby Kangaroo") and 26 eBooks entitled "What Is It? A Young Reader's Guide" (for example, "What Is It? A Young Reader's Guide to Animals").

He is currently working on a series of 26 eBooks entitled "HOW!" These books explain in an amusing way how animals got certain traits, for example, "How the Zebra Got Its Stripes."

Mr. Kurtz has visited 80 countries (so far) and writes travel articles in addition to his own travel blog.
