Gerhard Höberth

Gerhard Höberth, born 1960

After training as a computer technician, he worked as a gardener, shepherd, in the care of handicapped children, as a technical draftsman and illustrator before studying philosophy at the University of Vienna in the late 1980s. Since 1984 he has worked independently as an illustrator, author, philosopher, astrologer, computer and video artist.

Fascinated by the moon landing as a child, he became passionately interested in science, technology and science fiction. Especially the so-called "mutants" with their abilities of telepathy, telekinesis or teleportation caught his childish attention at that time. When he received the book "Easy journey to other planets", the desire to acquire such abilities himself became the motivation to deal with consciousness techniques and religion. Therefore, already at the age of twelve, he read books on autogenic training and self-hypnosis, and acquired the technique of arm and leg elevation. At the age of 16 he began to meditate and became interested in all religions of the world. This interest was deepened by conversations with Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Sannyasins, Krishnas, Children of God, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Scientologists and many other representatives of faith communities. Quickly, however, the faith conveyed in each case collided with one's own claim to rationality and logic. Practical experiences in ZaZen, Vipassana, SilvaMind, a training as a psycho-coach in the decision theory according to Stille, self-experiences in Gestalt therapy and group dynamics as well as in lucid dream work followed. He has been a vegetarian since 1984. This was followed by studies in philosophy at the University of Vienna (not completed) and training in psychological astrology. With a study of harmonics according to Hans Kayser, he finally succeeded in combining rationality and logic with the intuition of art. After the turn of the millennium he developed the integral philosophy of Evolutionary Idealism.

Since 1996 he lives in Wasserburg am Inn / Bavaria / Germany / Europe / Earth / Sol-System / Milky Way ...
