Michael Conlan was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1940. He now lives in the quiet Provence of Lampang in Northern Thailand with his wife, and young dog "Bailee." His wife grows a large variety of Thai vegetables for their own consumption, and to share with friends and relatives.
Michael, who studied accountancy at Swinburne University spent the majority of his working life in financial management. In 1996 the company Michael worked for refined its global strategy resulting in world wide redundancies.
In 1997, Michael did a TESOL certificate course and moved to Thailand to teach English as a second language.
Until his retirement in 2009 he taught American English to students at Burapha university in Bangsaen.
Years of notes, and some factual investigations have gone into the development of this work of fiction; and at this stage, Michael has not ruled out a Trilogy.
