In addition to publishing "EAT UP" (her first book), Lauren has authored several magazine articles and lectured on rooftop agriculture at national and international conferences.

THEN:

"The best way to become acquainted with a subject is to write a book about it." ~Benjamin Disraeli

Lauren began exploring the viability of rooftop food production while in graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Master of Landscape Architecture. The research project snowballed into a book, which will be published in print and E-book form by New Society Publishers in April 2013. "EAT UP | the inside scoop on rooftop agriculture" is the first, and most comprehensive book on rooftop agriculture to date.

ALWAYS:

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys cooking vegetarian food, backpacking, and extreme dog walking. She keeps a backyard vegetable garden and has a fondness for wild mushrooms.
