In 2018, Richard published his first picture book, The Hedgehog's Full Moon Party, with illustrator Abigail de Montfort.
Spikez, published 2012, was the first in a series of three books about an unlikely group of animal cyborgs that have been constructed by the UK military. The story was road-tested by students from primary and secondary schools, and also given a nod by university academics from across the country. A revised version was formatted for Kindle in January 2013.
The prequel to Spikez, Making Trakz, was released on Kindle on 30th October 2015 ahead of paperback release on 30th November. Look out for upcoming novels, including Spikez: Red Dragon, and Spikez: Viral.
Richard is also the director of Burton Mayers Books, an independent publishing house that specialises in innovative fiction for the children's and adult's market.
