Tawnya Schultz

Tawnya Schultz is a freelance travel and adventure sports writer. She currently works for GoPro on the Creative Marketing team as a copywriter. She is the founder and editor of Tahoe Snowboard magazine, which was around for three seasons and was most recently a weekly contributor for www.burtongirls.com and www.redbull.com. The fun-loving gyspy who lives between Lake Tahoe and San Francisco, writes press releases, and does marketing and social media for businesses as well.

Tawnya was previously Assistant Editor of Snowboard Magazine, where she created and managed three women's issues. She has also wrote for TransWorld Snowboarding, ESPN, X Games, HGTV, Cooler Magazine (UK), Epic (Vail's) Magazine, Snowboarder Magazine and more.

"Mastering Snowboarding" with co-author and Olympic Snowboarder, Hannah Teter, was released by Human Kinetics in 2012. It's a 235 page how-to snowboarding guide with tons of photos and great advice on how to become the best snowboarder you can be.

Tawnya is also the co-author of a 32 page animated how-to snowboarding book for kids, "Sammy the Shredder", released by the Adventure Zoo Crew. The fun and colorful book follows the adventures of Sammy the snowboarding bear. It's the perfect starter book for any child or grom to get them into the sports.
