Andrew T. Hecht

Andrew T. Hecht was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1959. He began working at Philipp Brothers the commodities trading giant at the age of 16. He graduated from SUNY at Albany in 1981 and attended Brunel University in Uxbridge, England. Andrew became a managing director at Philipp Brothers before he turned 30 running a variety of businesses for the company and Salomon Brothers/Phibro before his departure in 1996. Later he worked at Cantor Fitzgerald, HSBC, Global Advisors Ltd--a commodities hedge fund and Standard Pacific Capital. Andrew founded Radar Logic Inc. a data company that provides daily index prices for real estate values in 2003.

Andrew writes extensively on commodity markets.

Andrew broadcasts a biweekly radio show on the Tiger Financial News Network, The Commodities Hour with Andy Hecht. The show can be heard Tuesday's and Thursday's from 3-4 PM EST on www.tfnn.com.

He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
