Judith Hartzell is the author of books about the family that founded Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota--Mrs. Charlie: The Other Mayo and I Started All This: The Life of Dr. William Worrall Mayo, as well as the kindle e-book second edition of Mrs. Charlie. A featured history expert on the Clinic's film My Brother and I, she also contributes to the Mayo history website. She published a biography of the children's author Meindert DeJong, When I Was A Kid, in four serial parts through the Calvin College magazine Origins. Mrs. Hartzell lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with her husband, Tom, and their Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, Fergus.
