A scholar of Film and Media Studies at Clemson University, Aga Skrodzka writes on film theory, women in sexploitation cinema, (post)socialist visual culture, magic realism, and narratives of "sex slavery." A distant relative of Pola Negri, Skrodzka was born in Bialystok, Poland, the birthplace of Dziga Vertov and L. L. Zamenhof. She now resides in Greenville, South Carolina, where she has built a house and filled it with squirrels.
