Alan G. Jones

I enjoy writing about history, but lately my books have been maritime. I

wrote the history of shipbuilding in Birkenhead on the Wirral.

My latest venture is concerning the history of all the ports of England which is available on Kindle Store. It contains the imports and exports in these ports and the countries they traded with. My section on harbour masters

concerns their biographies. I felt it might be useful for a reader who had these ancestors, but also anyone who is interested in genealogy.

Since my wife died,in 2007, I express my emotions in poetry.

I won a prize at my old university with a short story.

I also won a prize, several years ago,on the life of Robert Owen, the cotton mill owner.

I have a degree in History and Sociology.

I hope you enjoy my books. I hope to write more.
