Wendy Cumberland

Wendy Cumberland began writing children's books thirty years ago. Born in Kent, England, she emigrated to South Africa in 1969 and lives in Gauteng, South Africa. Now a South African, most of her books are specifically written for the children of South Africa and are adventure stories in which the young characters find themselves the hero, or heroine of the tale.

She loves creating new stories and is continually adding new titles that emerge from her imagination. To help with genuine and constructive feedback on the books, she often gives them to young friends to proof read before publishing. Several of them are dedicated to these children as a way of thanking them for their contribution. So far nothing but good comments.
