I believe most poets start out as closet poets ... writing to themselves, feelings they don't want to share with others. This is especially true when the poet is an adolescent... or male. Peer pressure threatens any exposure of personal feelings that deviate from the crowd. As we mature we become more confident about, and willing to share our "art" as the gift it is. I take it a step higher... Prophesy!

My books are a conversation between me and you. I know my life has had ups and downs over the years, and I’m glad to be able to share them with you in poetic form… because I believe in the exercising of our full emotional cycle as we react to the circumstances we find surrounding us at every given moment in our lives.

It brings me joy to look back at what I was inspired to write, and decide that it was not an accidental outpouring of words on paper. I see it as a gift and confirmation of the spiritual growth I continue to pray for. As always intended, the majority of my poetry must be read (or listened to) at least twice to get the full enjoyment out of it... not because it's so deep or twisted, but because it allows you your thought... and then allows you mine... ultimately bringing us together to recount the creation of ours. And that's what I do: Create and Communicate.
