Nancy Spooner Bsharah is the owner of Tempo Live Events, Inc. an event production and staffing company (TempoLiveEvents.com). She produces corporate sales meetings, conventions, and sporting events around the world.
A California girl though and through, Nancy grew up in the small desert city of Lancaster, Calif. Despite living in the desert, Nancy fell in love with water -- she learned to water ski at age 5. Family vacations included house boating and white water rafting trips. Her favorite adventure was the Spooner family’s annual excursion to Southern California beaches.
Nancy graduated with honors from San Diego State University with a degree in film and television. She has directed and produced live sporting events like the ESPN’s XGames and Great Outdoor Games, long track speed skating at the 2002 Olympics, a variety of USA Gymnastics events and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.
She has competed in marathons, triathlons, and has finished a full Ironman triathlon competition in under 13 hours (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run). She fell in love with surfing on a post-divorce all-girl trip to El Salvador and soon became addicted to the sport. Back home in San Diego, newly single and new to dating, she began to see the correlation between surfing tips and dating advice.
Nancy lives a mile from the beach in Del Mar, Calif., with her entrepreneurial, smarty pants/techy hunk of a husband, Al, and their two kick-ass dogs. When in town, the two of them love their weekend ritual of beach volleyball on Saturdays and surf sessions on Sunday mornings.
