Hatef Mokhtar

Hatef Mokhtar is a writer, human rights activist, columnist, and editor and founder of The Oslo Times. He is the founder of the Global Peace Network and the author of The Red Wrath and A Yoik for Anna. He was born in Afghanistan in Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan. He attended Balkh University. His father was a well-known Islamic scholar in Afghanistan, who was held as a prisoner on political grounds because he stood against the Communist regime of Noor Mohammad Taraki, the first Communist President of Afghanistan. He was executed while he was in jail under the orders of Hafizullah Amin, the second president of Afghanistan of the former Communist Regime. He has been vocal on his stance against communism and dictatorial regimes.

Hatef Mokhtar is a multilingual speaker and is fluent in Pashto, Persian, Urdu,Norwegian and English. He currently lives in Norway and he is also an avid blogger.
