Story-telling has always been part of my life. From the age of seven, I was made to tell stories every night to the other boys sleeping in the dormitory at my school boarding house, and from then on I continued to write plays, poems and stories including, in the last 8 years, nearly 700 separate posts on my blog. Published works with readers’ comments:
‘VIEWS FROM THE BALCONY – A BIOGRAPHY OF CATHERINE DUNCAN’ (Macmillan) “The remarkable and revealing story of Catherine Duncan, a leading Australian actress and playwright during the golden years of radio, the winner along with Peter Finch of the 1947 Macquarie Award and Australia's first official female film director: a woman with such belief in herself that she could begin a radio talk with the statement, History begins with me!”
‘THE COSTUMER – LEWIS CARROLL IN PARIS’ (Amazon) “This is such a wonderfully quirky short story that I can see it as the foundation for a perfect French movie. Visually detailed with fascinating characters and a 'different' storyline, this is a terrific little story to read with a glass of good red wine and some excellent French cheese and wafers by your side.”
‘LIFE BEHIND A COUNTER’ (Amazon) Selected by the Certified Practising Accountants
‘THE MUSIC OF LIFE’ (International Internet Prize)
‘THE POEMS’ (Amazon) Several included in ‘20th Century Poets’ and Mal Morgan’s ‘PIE’.
‘I KNOW THE PARADES’ (Poetry Prize, Tasmanian Writers)
“THE EMPTY PICTURE FRAME” “For those who see the magical in daily life, are intrigued by the arts and their impact, and those that love big, meandering stories.” “This is a thought-provoking, entertaining and alternative novel.”
“THE BALLOONIST” – a collection of short stories and poems
