Charles Locks

Award-winning author Charles Locks served as a combat marine in Vietnam. It prepared him for Island Time, tropical storms, and the shortage of women and water. It didn’t prepare him for pirates, fairy dust, and little boys who never grow up. With help from Callwood's Rum and Bomba's mushroom tea—in medicinal doses only—he kept his head above water, stayed on the right side of the law, and survived the eternal carnival, gathering material for his novels: Greater Trouble in the Lesser Antilles, Low Jinks on the High Seas, and Epic Trials in the Leeward Isles.

Caution: If you don't own a pair of flip-flops or a T-shirt with an off-color slogan, if beach sand in your clothes is too gritty and no-see-um bites on your arms and legs too itchy, if you detest the stickiness of salt drying on your skin or the trade wind mussing your hair, if you're unable to distinguish a steel band from a speckled band, if you deny Jimmy Buffet is high culture, if you've buried the anarchist in you, if the ongoing conquest of Eden doesn't make you cry, you should probably not read my books.
