I was born in a small village in upstate New York near the Mohawk Valley, where many battles took place of the French and Indian War, as well as the American Revolutionary War. My passion back then about this time in our history is still strong as ever.

I have published fifteen historical fiction books of this time period from 1739-1878. The series starts with my first book, 'The Life and Times of Robert Flint the Pioneer', and the final one is 'The Sentinels'.

I have three other historical fiction books that are from this time period, and about our westward expansion along the Mississippi, and Missouri Rivers.

I have told people during book signings that I was born 260 years too late!I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I restored an 1860 farmhouse, nestled among the mountains, and two rivers with no neighbors. I often walk among my woods, and walk along the un-touched river where horse and wagons once traveled that is below my long front porch. Here I can think about my next book, and mix my new characters into some historical setting, and I begin.

Time must never forget how our country was founded, nor the people of those times, for they are the core of us all.

My last series of three books, 'Mist on the Santee River,' is about one family who came to Santee River just north of Charleston, SC, here they would begin their rice plantation, but with a twist of those days of slavery in 1798-1866.
