Geoff Ward

Journalist Geoff Ward, who lives on the Beara peninsula in the south-west of Ireland, is also a media consultant and musician. He has Masters and BA (Hons) degrees in English literature and is a lecturer and tutor in literature and creative writing (fiction and non-fiction). His Mysterious Planet website (www.mysteriousplanet.net) explores the 'alternative universe', and since 2004 he has managed the website which he created as an appreciation of the internationally best-selling author Colin Wilson who, for decades, has been foremost in the pantheon of 'New Age' science and philosophy (www.colinwilsonworld.co.uk). Geoff is the author of Spirals: the Pattern of Existence, a study of the prevalence and significance of the spiral form and pattern in nature and human culture, published in 2006, with a second edition, revised and updated, in 2013, and which has an introduction by Colin Wilson. In addition to literature, Geoff's key interests are the lost knowledge and wisdom of the ancients, cosmology and holistic science, existential philosophy, Jungian psychology, the music of Bob Dylan and writing short stories - he is also a singer and songwriter and has played lead guitar in rock, blues, country and pop bands for most of his life.
