Mikael Klintman is a professor of sociology at Lund University whose work explores how framing shapes what we treat as true, moral, and valuable in public life. His latest book, Framing: The Social Art of Influence (Manchester University Press, 2025), translates decades of research into an accessible toolkit for readers, journalists, and practitioners. He is also the author of Knowledge Resistance: How We Avoid Insight from Others (Manchester University Press, 2019), a widely cited account of why smart people sometimes ignore sound evidence—and how to do better. Klintman has been a visiting scholar at MIT, UC Berkeley, Oxford, and the LSE, and he frequently appears in media and podcasts on influence, trust, and sustainability. He writes for both academic and general audiences, aiming to make rigorous ideas useful in everyday decision-making.
