PhD Robert Cuyler

Robert N. Cuyler, PhD, is President of Clinical Psychology Consultants Ltd, LLP, a consulting practice focused on behavioral health telemedicine services as well as inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. His decade of telemedicine work includes experience in strategy, clinical practice, outcomes research, public policy, finance, technology, and business development. He is a frequent presenter at regional and national telemedicine conferences.

Dr. Cuyler and his associates also offer coaching and therapeutic services to professionals and executives seeking assistance regarding career path, conflict management, work-life balance, and personal/family challenges.

Dr. Cuyler served a one year stint as Interim Chief Executive Officer of JSA Health, a company providing emergency and routine tele-psychiatric services. His activities with JSA included opening up new markets for the company in hospital system emergency departments, university student health services, specialty psychiatric hospitals, and cruise ship health services.

Dr. Cuyler previously served as a Senior Vice President at Diamond Healthcare. He co-founded Heritage Health Services, a behavioral health management company, where he served as COO & Clinical Director until Heritage was acquired by Diamond.

Dr. Cuyler received his Ph.D. in Psychology from LSU and Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Menninger Foundation. His numerous public policy activities include membership on the Texas Hospital Association’s Psychiatric Advisory Council, President of the Association for Ambulatory Behavioral Healthcare and member of the NIMH’s National Mental Health Leadership Council. He is a Life Science Advisor for Rice University’s Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and a judge at the annual Rice Business Plan Competition.
