I'm Robert Umber. I have been blessed with an active and fertile imagination and have expressed it through writing and illustrations for as long as I can remember. It is a passion and a love that have only grown stronger over time. My writing spans through different genres including, but not limited to, Fantasy, Middle Grade fiction, Historical fiction and Young Adult.

I am an Indie author and The Warriors of Dragonsrod was the first book that I had published. Since then, I have published six more books with two more due to be out soon.

The Warriors of Dragonrod is the first book in the Dragonsrod Chronicles Series. The Siege of Dragonsrod, and Avengers of Dragonsrod, plus, an expanded universe short story called The Night Stealer, are all out in ebook and paperback versions. The series is a fast paced, action packed, epic fantasy adventure. The stories are image rich and have the feel of the Wild West and the Middle Ages with animorphic creatures, as the characters, all blended together before being tossed into another dimension for the finishing touch. They are stories of love and war, of friendship and betrayal, of victory and defeat played out by beings, though not human, are blessed and cursed with all too human strengths and weaknesses.

More Dragonsrod Universe books will be out soon. I recently completed and published Echoes from the Past (a short story), and have a full length novel, The Great Race, which is in writing. I am guestimating that the rough draft for TGR will be finished by the end of 2018.

Plus, I have two Middle Grade fiction paranormal adventure stories, entitled, Billy Bean and the Pesky Poltergeists, and Billy Bean and the Phantoms of Pomegranate Grove. Both books are available in both ebook and paperback versions. These books follow the adventures of an eleven year old boy, Billy Bean, and his friends, Keisha Washington, Raymond Davis, and Mai-Linn Soon, as they go about investigating the mysteries of the paranormal, while dealing with events of everyday life at home and at school.

A third book in the series, Billy Bean and the Ghosts of Glen Oaks Sanatorium, is currently undergoing the revision process, but, will also be out soon if all goes well.
