Honestly, I was surprised too….

After finishing a 30- picture book series for children, (and given that I take the little girl living inside me very seriously), I didn’t think I’d one day venture into the adult book world to write "LIVE YOUR STORY". Being a therapist, the heartbreaking stories I hear every day and those ‘hit-by-reality’ doses seemed enough for a lifetime! Reading to kids was my getaway until I realized I myself was not living my own story. Just like my clients, I was trying so hard to run away from it.

I think on some level, I loved telling kids about historical heroes and divine miracles only to see the look of fierce determination in their eyes. It made them believe anything was possible. And I wondered if the reality of our ordinary lives could ever bring out the best in us too.

This book was waiting to be written.

Seeing life through the eyes of people who are lost or in pain, I realized heroism was in feeling your feelings and living your own story instead of watching it go by. The true miracles are in growing up and finding the real ‘you’; the one who still believes anything is possible.
