Norlan Jacobs

Norlan Jacobs: Was born in Hollywood, CA, and must have been drawn to the performing arts from his birth, and he hasn't missed an entrance since. He has a varied background in theatre and related fields, both professionally and in education as a writer, director, and a teacher for over 45 years. He holds a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts/Professional Directing from Brigham Young University, and a Master's Degree in Dramatic Writing and Directing from the University of New Mexico, and has written screenplays, musicals, stage plays, and now his first series of novels. He has done research on the hollow earth topic for THE SOURCE THE SEED for over forty-five years, which is why the book has been called a work of faction instead of simply a work of fiction: And, yes, there will be a second book, The Sowing, a third book, The Growing, and a fourth book, The Harvest to complete the quadrilogy. Mr. Jacobs had considered writing The Source series as separate screenplays initially, however, he decided to write them as novels at first to give them the foundation they needed. There are still high hopes of this series becoming thrilling movies someday soon, starting with THE SEED as the first mega hit. You will see obvious evidences of the screenwriter in his approach to writing these books by his mastery of incorporating a great deal of dialogue into his narrative, and readers say they can see the story come alive as a movie in the reading: The screenplays will be expected to follow when the quadrilogy is completed, and in the meantime he hopes you thoroughly enjoy the reading.
