Terry Martin was born in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, in 1951, to a working class family. On leaving school he completed a five-year apprenticeship at Stephen Austin Newspapers but then retrained in graphic design. He has written regular columns in sports magazines and was responsible for publishing and editing several fanzines before taking the big step of publishing and editing the award-winning short story anthology magazine Murky Depths. Terry's passions are writing, reading, art and music and keeps in touch with the real world once a week as Artist In Residence at a primary school in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. He recently studied for six years to complete a degree in Literature through the Open University. He lives with his wife, Liz, in a small village (no shop, no pub, no post office) in south Lincolnshire.
