JuliAnne Murphy

JuliAnne Murphy is a bestselling author, a business executive, communications consultant and speaker, and a cancer warrior. She believes in sharing her stories in the hopes that they will make others experiences easier.

Having lived and worked in Central America - in Panama and Costa Rica for ten years and traveled extensively around the world for 44 years, JuliAnne considers herself a world citizen. She's been fortunate to gain a global viewpoint through her experiences, while cultivating a love for the human condition and her fellow people.

Born of Native American and Scotch-Irish lineage, JuliAnne's straight shooting approach has earned her a reputation as a truth teller, a visionary, and a lover of life. Her pragmatic style of sharing with a gentle smile and a measured tone are indicative of her Southern upbringing in Arkansas.

JuliAnne Murphy is the author of the best-selling book series, The Gringo Guides to Panama including Book One: What to Know Before You Go and Book Two: More to Know Before You Go, both available on Amazon. The two books introduce future and new expats to the realities of moving to or retiring in Panama.

JuliAnne's third book, a memoir entitled Dream Job: Shattering the Glass Ceiling Comes at a Price, was released June 5, 2018. In pre-sales on Amazon, Dream Job hit #1 New Release in Hispanic/Latino Biographies in less than 48 hours.

A diagnosis of terminal cancer in 2018 and subsequent cancer treatment that almost cost her her life led JuliAnne to begin writing about living with cancer on her cancer blog, Unbridled Woman. That blog is available on her website at JuliAnneMurphy.com.

JuliAnne relocated back to the U.S. after living abroad in Costa Rica and Panama for ten years. She and her husband now reside in her home state of Arkansas, where she works as a marketing consultant.
