Will Powers

Dr. Will Powers, DPA is an author, inventor, professor, scientist and a consultant in the field of Environmental Science and Technology. He was born in the Bronx, New York. He grew up in Hicksville, NY which is a small town located in the center of Long Island. In 1976 he headed west and ended up in Thousand Oaks, CA where he spent 20 great years raising his family and travelling with his wife Marilyn. When he finally retired in 2000 he moved to Reno, NV briefly and eventually to Lake Tahoe, NV. At Lake Tahoe he took up outdoor sports including, snow shoeing, kayaking, down hill and cross country skiing, and biking. At Lake Tahoe he hiked to many fantastic waterfalls high in the mountains and he got to observe nature. In doing this he learned a lot about life and death. In 2005 his wife died of breast cancer. This life changing event turned his world upside down. Finally many years later when he came out of grieving he started dating again. At this point in his life he felt like he was dropped down into a whole new world. His book provides practical guidance from his own experiences on successfully surviving a major loss and establishing a whole new life for the one left behind. Dr.Powers has won many awards for his work in the environmental field.
