Rob spent the better part of his professional career working in the graphic arts, publishing, and marketing communications fields. His work has garnered numerous industry awards, including Silver Six Awards of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators, a Citation of Excellence from the American Advertising Federation, and Joey awards from the San Jose Film and Video Commission.
His book, "But I Was in Such a Good Mood This Morning!" released in 2011, chronicles his two battles with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The book was his first foray into creative writing and memoir. In 2014, he released his second memoir, "When You See the Cows, Make A Left!" which details Rob's search for greener pastures on the other side of the hardships he had endured. The process of writing about his cancer battles and its fallout was daunting. But it's Rob's hope that sharing his story will help others facing similar circumstances.
Rob still has a passion for his graphic design work, but after his cancer diagnosis and twenty years later a bone marrow transplant that saved his life, finds himself drawn to pay it forward. He wants to do everything he can to help other cancer patients and those facing a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. Rob has worked as a Volunteer Ambassador for Be The Match National Marrow Registry (marrow.org), registering potential donors at drive events and speaking on behalf of the organization as well.
