Michael Salter

Dr Michael Salter is a criminologist based in Sydney, Australia. He holds a Bachelor in Arts (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, with a double major in sociology and political science, and a PhD in Public Health from the University of New South Wales. His work is focused on violence against women and children, and he investigates the motivations behind violent offending, the impacts on victims, and the responses of the law and medical services to traumatised victims. He is published in a range of prestigious journals including the British Journal of Criminology, Violence Against Women and Child Abuse Review.
