Stephen Rohan

I am a 31 year old guy from Essex, England. My passions include travel, the outdoors, music and books.

My first book, Siberian Odyssey is based on a 2009 trip to Siberia to work on an Eco-tourism project. It details my journey from London, through Germany and across the Baltic to Helsinki. After spending several days in Finland I sailed to Tallinn in Estonia and took a train to Moscow to await my travel companion who would be joining me from England in a few days. From Moscow we took the Trans Siberian some 4,000km to the tiny lakeside settlement of Tankhoi in Buryatia no the Mongolian border. We then camped for two weeks in the Siberian taiga (forest) while creating a hiking trail through the mountains.

I am currently writing my 2nd book, Balkan Odyssey, about a solo trip around the Western Balkans (Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Hungary) in 2010. This will available in the coming weeks.
