Tony Gillen

Author, Coach, Businessman and Innovator. If there's a better way to do something, Gillen wants to find it, create it or improve it. Then he passes it on, so everyone can benefit. That's why he now writes.

After 40 plus years in business, starting as a cold-call adding machine salesman, Gillen progressed through accounting machines to computer systems. After ten years in sales, he started his own sales training company. He began by focusing on helping sales people understand how customers make buying decisions, instead of just 'teaching clever sales techniques'.

The business grew to include management and systems development. During that time, they pioneered interactive audio and video-based learning methods. The Grass Roots Group PLC, at the time, England's leading motivational consultancy, bought the company.

Gillen was a Divisional Manager, and was on the team that developed the world's most powerful business coaching methodology - Performance Coaching. Gillen was responsible for migrating that Olympic sports coaching model into a business model.

Over the years, he further enhanced Performance Coaching to reflect what people really look for when they focus on building a better business. And that's what you see in his book Win from Within for Total Business Success.

He worked as a skills trainer and business coach on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as starting his own real estate practice.

Over the years he wrote and published comprehensive training packs on Selling, Customer Care, and Performance Coaching.

One of Gillen's books, Getting on the Upside of Hurricanes, was added to the Florida's Emergency Management library, as a hurricane reference work, by Florida's then Lieutenant Governor.

The first edition of his history book, Land That I Love, became a Kindle bestseller. It will change your view of America and open the door of young minds, so they can set out on the road to becoming exceptional.

It might even change your view of how history might be taught.

Gillen now lives in Colorado and works part-time as a ghostwriter. He has written more than a 1,300 articles and books for clients in six other countries.

When not writing or working with clients, you can find him out in the hills enjoying the glorious Rocky Mountains. He was also part of the team that helped to return open land that's been inundated with invasive plants back to Colorado native vegetation.
